Walk and talk with Hali

January saw the start of ‘Hali community walks’. Members of our wonderful community joined our management team to get active and start a few walking routes from the Hunt Building at Hali.

Walking is a great way to stay active, explore your surroundings, and connect with your neighbours. Whether you’re a new resident or a long-time member of the community, joining us on walks our team at Hali can be a fun and rewarding experience. As our community grows we’ll no doubt have many more options for exploring and adventures but if you would like to venture a little further afield here are some options for walking routes within a 10 minute drive of Cherrywood. 

Tully Park

Tully Park is a beautiful green space located in the heart of Cherrywood. The park features a manageable walking circuit and nice flat green areas making it an ideal spot for a family day out or a picnic.

Loughlinstown Wood

Loughlinstown Wood is a large woodland area located on the outskirts of Cherrywood. It features several walking trails that wind through the trees, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The trails range from easy to moderate difficulty, making them suitable for walkers of all ages and abilities.

Cabinteely Park

Cabinteely Park is a lovely place to go for a peaceful walk or run, take in some fresh air, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The park covers 45 hectares and features a variety of walking paths, including wooded areas, open fields, and a lake. There are also several sports facilities in the park, including a playground, tennis courts, and a skate park.

Shankill Beach

Shankill Beach is a beautiful coastal area located just a short distance from Cherrywood. It offers a range of walking trails that take you along the beach and up into the nearby hills, offering stunning views of the sea and the surrounding countryside.

Killiney Hill Park

Killiney Hill Park is a large public park located just a few miles from Cherrywood. It offers a range of walking trails that take you up to the top of Killiney Hill, offering stunning views of Dublin Bay and the Wicklow Mountains. The park also features a playground and a picnic area, making it an ideal spot for a family day out.

Bray Head

Bray Head is a hill located just a few miles from Cherrywood that offers a challenging but rewarding walking trail. The trail takes you up to the top of the hill, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Irish Sea. It’s a great option for experienced walkers looking for a more challenging route.
